These soldering iron tips are electroplated Iron and Nickel which protect them from oxidation, characterized by heat-resistant up to 480 ℃ and lifetime over 20000 welding joints with appropriate use. As the I type point is very sharp, it fits for crafted workmanship, for example,  about car problem, once micro switch had popped off the small circuit board, you found that the contacts for the microswitch is smaller than micro (smaller than a pinhead),  or soldering in a narrow space also for revising the tin bridge emerging from chip soldering.
