Only a VCI – SmartLink C is needed on-site when customers need diagnosis and repair. This device allows technicians from thousands of miles away to assist, provided they have the function and SmartLink B.

Launch SmartLink B V2.0 Remote Diagnosis:

The SmartLink Remote Diagnostics System is a newly developed service system for remote vehicle diagnosis and repair. SmartLink B (Business), as the Service Provider, can accept remote repair orders from SmartLink C users via the SmartLink Service Platform.

Launch X431 SmartLink Service Platform:

The SmartLink Platform connects SmartLink C with SmartLink B and operates via an internet browser. SmartLink C users can post remote diagnosis requests on this platform, while SmartLink B users can view and accept requests to perform remote diagnostics.

How Does the LAUNCH SMARTLINK REMOTE DIAGNOSIS WORK?

The process involves creating a remote connection, where SmartLink B users can connect with the vehicle remotely and guide clients through diagnosis. The system supports J2534 protocol, allowing users with OEM software and the Launch Tech J2534 driver to perform diagnostics remotely.

How to Activate SmartLink B Remote Diagnosis:

1. Register: Visit the “Launch Super Remote Diagnosis Reservation Platform” and register with your email and device activation codes.
2. Log in: After registration, log in to the platform. Add more SmartLink devices by entering the product serial number and activation code.
3. Accept Requests: View requests, check details, and accept those you can handle. The client’s contact information will be provided.
4. Perform Diagnostics: Connect with the client and guide them through issue resolution.
5. Complete Task: Mark the task as "Completed" or "Give up" if unresolved. Review diagnostic history in the "History task" section.

How SmartLink B Users Provide Remote Diagnostic Services:

• Creating a Remote Connection:
  • Mode 1: Connection Code - SmartLink B user obtains a code from the car-side user.
  • Mode 2: Appointment or Open Demand
• Connect the SmartLink B to the network and diagnostic device.
• Operate the diagnostic device to start the remote diagnosis. Monitor online status, vehicle voltage, and network delay on the platform.
• After diagnosis, enter test results to conclude the task.
